Using Images
Use clear images, keep files small, and paste URLs when easy.
Sources
- Unsplash (free): find an image, right-click “Copy image address,” paste the URL.
- Your own files: upload JPG/PNG/WebP (headshots, logos).
Quick Sizes
- Logo: ~200x60 PNG/SVG, under 200KB.
- Team photo: 400x400 JPG/PNG, under 500KB (most recent phone photos are fine).
- Hero: 1920x1080 JPG, under 500KB.
- Blog featured: 1200x630 JPG/PNG, under 500KB.
- Section images: 800x600 JPG/PNG, under 300KB.
Paste a URL
- Copy the direct image link (ends in .jpg/.png/.webp).
- Paste into the image URL field.
- Click Publish.
Fast Tips
- Team photos: professional headshots, similar background/light, centered.
- Backgrounds: not too busy; text should stay readable; avoid big faces behind text.
- Logos: transparent PNG; simple shapes look best on light and dark.
Keep Pages Fast
- Resize before uploading; don’t use giant files. The site optimizes images on delivery, but smaller uploads help.
- Compress with TinyPNG or Squoosh.
- JPG for photos; PNG for logos/graphics.
If It Looks Wrong
- Image missing: confirm the URL is a direct link and public.
- Blurry: start with a higher-resolution source.
- Slow page: compress/resize.
- Wrong shape: crop to the sizes above.
