Using Images

Use clear images, keep files small, and paste URLs when easy.

Sources

  • Unsplash (free): find an image, right-click “Copy image address,” paste the URL.
  • Your own files: upload JPG/PNG/WebP (headshots, logos).

Quick Sizes

  • Logo: ~200x60 PNG/SVG, under 200KB.
  • Team photo: 400x400 JPG/PNG, under 500KB (most recent phone photos are fine).
  • Hero: 1920x1080 JPG, under 500KB.
  • Blog featured: 1200x630 JPG/PNG, under 500KB.
  • Section images: 800x600 JPG/PNG, under 300KB.

Paste a URL

  1. Copy the direct image link (ends in .jpg/.png/.webp).
  2. Paste into the image URL field.
  3. Click Publish.

Fast Tips

  • Team photos: professional headshots, similar background/light, centered.
  • Backgrounds: not too busy; text should stay readable; avoid big faces behind text.
  • Logos: transparent PNG; simple shapes look best on light and dark.

Keep Pages Fast

  • Resize before uploading; don’t use giant files. The site optimizes images on delivery, but smaller uploads help.
  • Compress with TinyPNG or Squoosh.
  • JPG for photos; PNG for logos/graphics.

If It Looks Wrong

  • Image missing: confirm the URL is a direct link and public.
  • Blurry: start with a higher-resolution source.
  • Slow page: compress/resize.
  • Wrong shape: crop to the sizes above.
