Accessibility

Keep your content easy to use for everyone. Most technical pieces are built in.

Built In

  • Keyboard-friendly, good contrast, readable structure. You don’t need to configure these.

What to Do When Editing

  • Add alt text to images: say what’s in the image (“John Smith, Financial Advisor”; “Team meeting in conference room”).
  • Use descriptive links: “Download our retirement planning guide” instead of “Click here.”
  • Use clear headings in order (H1, then H2, then H3).
  • Keep language simple and paragraphs short.

Quick Checks

  • Text is readable on its background.
  • Links make sense by themselves.
  • You can tab through links and buttons.

If You Want to Test

  • Press Tab and Enter to move and click without a mouse.
  • Optional: try VoiceOver (Mac) or NVDA (Windows) to hear pages read out.
